An ‘out-to-grass’ script editor currently working on my second novel. I am an English graduate from Northern Ireland and for nine years worked in the film and TV industry. Five of those were spent at Northern Ireland Screen where I was responsible for a wide-ranging slate of development projects, films ranging from Richard Attenborough’s ‘Closing The Ring’ to micro-budget local films. I was the consultant script-editor for the hugely successful ShortSteps Programme from 2009 – 2011. In 2009 I set up my own script development service ‘Scriptsmart’ and completed my first full-length novel, “What You Don’t Know Won’t Hurt’. It caught the attention of Caroline Hardman, Hardman and Swainson Literacy Agency, but unfortunately no cigar when when it came to a publishing deal. In 2013 I was lucky enough to receive an SIAP award from the Arts Council Of Northern Ireland to research and start my second novel.
This blog is about the trials and tribulations I experience while trying to finish it, bring up my two young sons and (hopefully ) stay sane.
